How to Deal with Stress?

It is important to let go of unnecessary stress in your life to make room for peace. Know in your heart that you deserve peace and recognize its value for keeping your health, productivity and relationships optimal.

Be conscious of all the things that are causing you stress, especially situations that you feel are out of your control. Find ways of releasing this energy.

Visualize yourself surrounded by a warm white light that feels like a cozy blanket. As you wrap this blanket around you, embrace the feeling of peace. Let your stressful thoughts drift away on teeny tiny clouds as you focus on your breathing. Take one deep breath in and slowly release your breath, letting go of that stress. Keep repeating until you feel relaxed and at ease with your emotions.

Exercise is also a good tool for releasing stress. I decided to keep up running after my race I participated in with my daughter. I find that getting out and setting new running goals helps me to clear my mind and energy. When your mind is set on achieving a goal, you become determined and focused on what you want in your life. You also become clear on what you do not want in your life. You become surrounded by a positive glow and positive energy.

Recognize the situations in your life that cause you stress regardless of what you do. Assess each situation to determine if this stress is beneficial or pointless. You have the power to free yourself and remove that stress from your life. What is one thing you can do to free yourself from this stress? What fear is causing you to block this release of stress?
